EM-alumnus Abhinav Rohit recipient of the IEEE Photonics Society 2011 Best Student Paper Award. The IEEE Photonics Society Best Student Paper Awards are open to students from universities whose papers have been accepted for presentation at the IEEE Photonics Conference, formerly known as the Photonics Society Annual Meeting. The top five finalists receive certificates of recognition and monetary awards ranging up to $1000.
Abhinav was an EM-student (2006-2008), did his first year in the UK (HWU-St Andrews) and his second year at UGent and graduated with 'Great Distinction'.
