2012 Corning Outstanding Student Paper Competition Winner Announced
EM-alumnus Eric Numkam Fokoua wins the Corning Outstanding Student Paper Competition, organised by OSA Foundation and Corming Inc. for his paper, titled “Dipole Radiation Model for Surface Roughness Scattering in Hollow-Core Fibers”, which he presented at the Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exposition/National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference (OFC/NFOEC).
Eric was an EM-student (2008-2010), did his first year in the UK (HWU-St Andrews) and his second year at UGent. He received the 'Best Overall Student' award during the Summer School '10 as he achieved the best overal result of the graduating class of 2010.
