Best First year student prize
Mr. Tadesse Mulugeta Shumete (Ethiopia) has been awarded the best first year student prize at the summer school.
Tadesse spent his first year of the EMMP programme at KTH.
Best Overall student prize
Mr. Volodymyr Koman (Ukrain) has achieved the best overal result of the graduating class of 2011.
Volodymyr spent his first year of the EMMP programme in KTH and his second year at Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
Best Thesis prize
The best thesis prize at the summer school 2011, has been awarded to Mr. Lu Qi (China).
Lu Qi spent his first year at KTH and his second year at Ghent University.
EMMP lectures by invited scholars
The EMMP summer school was able to atract once more international renowned speakers in the field of photonics.
PhD proposal competition
The second year students were engaged in a PhD proposal competition. Based on any of the MSc. thesis presentations, the students designed and proposed a PhD topic.
The best proposal was presented by Pankaj Joshi & Joanne Oh, based on the MSc thesis of Eliyas Mammo regarding PV's.
